Access to your stored record
Access to your information through DreamSource is only available through the use of your personal username, password, and decryption key. You will only be sent this information if you begin an application and choose to complete the application at a later time.

Encryption
All information submitted and/or received from the DreamSource web site Online Application is sent in an encrypted format. This ensures that your information is secure while in transit. This security protocol is called SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). The DreamSource Online Application will only work with browsers that support SSL encryption.

When you enter the DreamSource Application section, you may receive a message that says "You have requested a secure document" or "You are about to begin viewing pages over a secure connection". This is normal, and indicates that the information submitted and received is encrypted for privacy. You should click the "Continue" or "Yes" button to proceed. Similarly, when you leave DreamSource, you may receive a message that says "You have requested an insecure document" or "You are about to begin viewing pages over an open connection".

Here are some additional indicators of a secure connection:

All browsers that support SSL will display "HTTPS://" at the beginning of the web address, or URL, when accessing the secured section of the Web site. Normal, unsecure pages will display "HTTP://". Always check for the "HTTPS://:" address when you are making transactions or entering confidental, personal information.

In Netscape Navigator 2 and 3, secure pages are indicated by a gold key with a blue background at the bottom left of your browser window. If the key is broken and is on on a green or gray background, then you are viewing an insecure page.

In Netscape Communicator 4, secure pages are indicated by a closed padlock at the bottom left or your browser window, and also in the toolbar. An open padlock indicates an insecure page. Clicking on the padlock will give you more security information about the page.

In Microsoft Internet Explorer, secure pages are indicated by a closed padlock at the bottom right of your browser window. The absence of the padlock indicates that your are viewing an insecure page.

Cookies
DreamSource does use "cookies" in a minimal way. "Cookies" are small files that can be stored on your computer and are accessible by your browser. Some web applications use them to keep information about you or your browser session. Although we do use "cookies" for session tracking to give the Online Application added functionality, the cookies are not stored on your computer, and the Online Application the only place we use them. The session information is destroyed after the session is terminated, and no personal information is invisibly collected or used during the course of the session.

In addition, a short time after the application is submitted the record is purged from the online database.
